What you notice is only the beginning.
What you do with it is where things get interesting.
There’s information all around us and within us. What we notice, what we make it mean, and what we choose to do next can change the experience for ourselves and the people around us.
Shelley Brown brings this to life through colorful, immersive keynote experiences filled with storytelling, art, interaction, humor, and plenty of play. Audiences leave with practical ways to give attention to what’s right in front of them, question the stories they’re telling themselves, and decide what to do next.

No Ifs, Ands or Bots: This Moment Needs a Human
As technology gets better at handling the predictable, the moments that need a human are increasingly the ones filled with nuance, uncertainty, emotion, and no obvious answer.
Fun, colorful, and highly interactive, No Ifs, Ands or Bots brings Shelley’s Notice. Discern. Act. framework to life, helping audiences get better at spotting what might matter, looking beyond assumptions, and using their uniquely human judgment, curiosity, creativity, and resourcefulness to make the moments that matter count.

Breaking the Hard Rules: Redefining Strength in Women’s Leadership
Our work cultures are shaped by outdated expectations, and women are still operating under rules never written for them or by them.
This story-driven, interactive, and actionable experience empowers women to break those rules and L.E.A.D. like they mean it, becoming stronger, more effective leaders who lead real, elevate engagement, strengthen teams, and build a legacy of leadership others aspire to emulate.
Talk can be tailored for wider audiences to drive impact across your organization + add-on breakout available.

The Belonging Equation: Building Culture Through Human Connection
People do their best work when they feel like they can show up as themselves, speak up, contribute, and know they matter.
This keynote experience explores how leaders create that kind of environment by showing up real, self-aware, present, and curious—and how those everyday ways of leading create the safety that fuels belonging.
When people feel safe, valued, and encouraged to contribute their gifts and talents, they engage more fully, collaborate more openly, and bring more of themselves to the work.

EXPERIENCE
What You Notice Changes What Becomes Possible.
My favorite word is welcome.
I’ve loved that word since I was nine years old. My manifesto back then was simple: Who can I make friends with today?I looked at the world like everyone was a welcome guest at my party.
Honestly, that hasn’t changed.
What has changed is how deeply I understand why it matters.
Early in my career as a Les Clefs d’Or concierge, I had a GM named Mr. W. Every morning he’d walk into the lobby, give me a nod, scan the room, and every once in a while walk straight to my desk and place something in front of me—like a quarter-of-a-Post-it-sized piece of paper I had somehow missed in that enormous lobby.
I was mortified.
I took enormous pride in noticing the smallest details, especially the needs and emotions of our guests.
But I never forgot that tiny piece of paper.
That hotel became the number one hotel in the country. Not because of the brand name, marble floors, or grandeur, but because of what he taught us to see in the things we might otherwise walk past, talk past, or think past.
Over the years, I built a career in high-performance environments from hospitality to enterprise technology, while also training for endurance races and creating art. Very different worlds. Same lesson: what you notice affects your experience and how people experience you.
Years later, I began studying mindfulness with a former Buddhist monk and realized the smallest details aren’t always in the room.
Sometimes they’re in our own minds.
The assumptions we’re making. The stories we’re creating before someone even speaks. The meaning we’re assigning in real time without even realizing it.
That can change everything.
And it’s what I bring into every room I speak in.
My keynotes are colorful, interactive, a little unexpected, and designed to be an immersive experience. Through storytelling, art, live interaction, and plenty of play, I offer practical ways to give attention to what’s right in front of us, question the stories we’re telling ourselves, and decide what to do next.
The little things aren’t always little.
I’m an international keynote speaker, pop artist, mindfulness educator, and author of Weird Girl Adventures from A to Z. My work has reached audiences from corporate boardrooms to the NBA, exploring leadership, hospitality, culture, and human connection.
When I’m not on stage, you’ll usually find me in downtown Chicago with a giant coffee in hand, painting something colorful, taking improv and acting classes, blasting rock music from every decade of my life, or off on an adventure with my dog-child, Solo.
THIS IS WHERE IT GETS FUN.
